Emotional intelligence relates to the ability to understand and observe your thoughts as well as
others’ feelings and to make use of it in channelizing your thinking, judgments, and actions.
Research in this field reflects the view that higher levels of EI are directly related to various types
of significant positive results at work such as superior leadership and management skills.

The below mentioned 25 questions will help you to take a look at your own inner self and find
about more about your EI.

Please rate all the mentioned statements on a scale of 1 to 5. Please select the option that best
describes your thoughts and actions in the given situations. You are requested to analyze each
statement as you actually are at present and not as what you think you should be in the given
situation.

Your emotional intelligence level is Excellent!!

You are a person with high level of Emotional Intelligence. You have the ability to build great
relationships with others. People prefer to take your advice in times of need. You are an
individual with great leadership skills. You have high integrity levels and you are self-motivated.
You know your boundaries and have respect for the feelings of others.

65-105

Your emotional intelligence level is OK!

Your relationship is on the good people while others may find you quite difficult to interact with.
You are able to decipher your emotions inn most of the circumstances but still fail to manage
them in certain critical situations. At times, you find it difficult to assert your opinions even
when you know that you are correct. You have difficulty in reading the emotions of others in
certain situations.

Do not worry; there is still room for improvement. Slowly but gradually learn to understand the
emotional cues of others while giving heed to your own emotional requirements. Be honest while
sharing your feelings and opinions even in a difficult situation.

25-64

You need to work on your Emotional Intelligence.

Your honestly is admirable but you need to work on your EI. Most of the times, your emotions
always overwhelm and you try to turn your back to conflicts. You struggle but fail to create
strong relationships with others. You encounter frequent mood changes and are not open to
criticisms. Setbacks cause emotional turmoil which is hard to calm down. This causes stress and
anxiety which in turn has adverse effects on your life decisions.

As your EI is on the lower side, you need to put in efforts to get back on track. Please understand
that EI can always be improved through learning and practice. The way we respond to the
situations in our life has the power to create the life that we want to lead. Hence, practice to
